The Bonita Springs real estate market has done very well over the past several years. The Greater Fort Myers and Cape Coral real estate markets are up 145% from January 2011 to May 2015. Naples real estate market is doing well also. Bonita Springs is located in the middle of Fort Myers to the North and Naples to the South.
There are many fun things to do in Bonita Springs, like the Naples-Fort Myers Greyhound track which offers betting on dogs, off track betting, and cards.
Bonita Beach park is a fun place to enjoy the beach and is next to Barefoot Beach Park. The park offers restrooms, shelters, BBQ grills and more.
Lovers Key State Park used to only be accessible by boat but now you can drive and park at the park. Lovers Key is known for its remote beach which attracts bald eagle, bottle nose dolphins. Lovers Key is part of four barrier islands. Rumor has it there is nude sunbathing because of its remote feel.
Bonita Springs has become very business friendly in recent year and is working hard to attract businesses to relocate to the area. The city was instrumental in attracting Hertz Corp to move here from New Jersey. Even though they chose Estero just up the road, the city along with Fort Myers and Estero worked together to make that move happen. The city is actively recruiting more companies to move now.
Bonita Bay Group had a vision for Bonita about 30 years ago and developed Bonita Bay, The Brooks, Mediterra, Twin Eagles, and more in Southwest Florida. You could say this development is what put Bonita on the map. Before that Bonita was a sleepy little town best known for it Buffalo chicken wings but now it is known for its respect for the environment and ecological blending of development and nature.
